Household survey

Your household is invited to take part in a survey about the impacts of the January 2016 flooding in the Garioch area.

Experiencing a flood can be traumatic. This survey covers topics which some people affected by the January 2016 flooding may consider to be sensitive or upsetting. However, it is important that lessons are learnt from the experiences of those living in the Garioch area in order to help communities that experience flooding in the future. The study findings will provide recommendations to the organisations responsible for helping individuals and communities during and after a flood.

To inform these recommendations it is important to gather the experiences and opinions of those people who were directly and indirectly affected by the January 2016 flooding.

We are interested in the experiences, attitudes and opinions of those who live in Port Elphinstone and Kintore (and surroundings), including those who were directly and/ or indirectly affected by the January 2016 flooding. The survey is part of a project on the long term impact of flooding.

There are two surveys available; one for households, the other for business owners in the area. Further information on the survey can be found here.
