Welcome to CREW
Welcome to CREW, the Centre of Expertise for Waters. CREW is a partnership between the James Hutton Institute and all Scottish Higher Education Institutes which ensures that water research and expertise is available and accessible to the Scottish Government and its agencies, in a timely and effective manner.
CREW links water research to water policy in the following ways.
- via an enquiry service
- through delivering rapid research projects
- by carrying out capacity building research projects
- via dissemination of research
- by assessing future research needs
CREW takes a “source to sea” approach which means that we work at all stages at the hydrological cycle.
